From the moment of initial contact, EvaluMed’s team of professionals, including legal, nursing, and claims-handling experts, work hard to schedule, process, and deliver the comprehensive reports needed to optimize critical decision making. We are dedicated to meeting all case deadlines each and every time. The following overview explains the roles of several departments integral to this process: |
Scheduling
Typically your first point of EvaluMed interaction, the Scheduling team is skilled at helping you identify the best physician resource to match your particular needs and questions. Not only do they have ready access to current physician backgrounds and complete credentials, but will know availability and specialty expertise of all members of the EvaluMed Physician Panels. Customer service is paramount, and Scheduling confirms all appointments in writing and is also the department to call when cancellations are a necessity.
Medical Records
This department is responsible for the coordination of all medical record information relevant to the services scheduled through EvaluMed. The primary duty for Medical Records is to ensure that medical histories, diagnostics and cover letters outlining issues to be addressed are forwarded to the necessary physician in a timely fashion, prior to the scheduled service date.
Transcription/ Production
Next in line is the Transcription/ Production department which transcribes the physician dictation and modifies formatting so that all reports are presented in the “EvaluMed's easy-to-read” style.
Medical/Legal Services
Medical/Legal Services is responsible for the review of Independent Medical Evaluation (IME) reports and other reports generated by physicians in the medicolegal context. This department acts as a liaison between clients and physicians regarding medical/legal issues and to ensure timely completion of all physician reports. The goals of this review process are to ensure a grammatically correct report that contains sound logic and reasoning throughout, and a report that responds to the issues raised by the client. |
Finance
A closing step with your EvaluMed experience is with our Finance department. They are familiar with various Workers’ Compensation state fee schedules and complete pricing of our services; provide prompt detail billing upon report completion; and coordinate all pre-payment arrangements when necessary.
Physician Services
In an ongoing effort to retain and maintain the very best physicians for EvaluMed Panels this department is responsible for the identification, ongoing communications and education of its members. This department maintains all physician credentials and monitors strict compliance of EvaluMed’s credentialing policies. Should you request a particular physician that is currently not listed on our panels, please do not hesitate to contact EvaluMed’s Physician Services to submit your recommendation. We always welcome hearing of emerging or qualified physicians in the growing medical/legal field.
